12 Things to Do While You’re in Quarantine

Hi everyone! I hope you’re holding up okay in these uncertain times. While many of us are practicing social distancing, our schedules and routines have changed drastically. My goal with this post is to help inspire you with some new ideas to get through this time. Here are my top 12 things to do when you’re at home in quarantine that will keep you productive, moving, and focused:

  1. Review all your paid subscriptions

    Take a minute to look at all your paid subscriptions and cancel the ones you are no longer using. It’s an easy way to save on money since those little charges can add up without you realizing it!

  2. Send some Love to Small Businesses

    While everyone may not be in the position to support financially, there are many other ways to support! You can leave positive reviews for the small businesses you love and encourage friends to shop small. If you are able, order takeout or delivery and buy gift cards to use in the future.

  3. Do a home workout

    Try a new workout from Youtube or Instagram! Here are several of my favorite workouts:

  4. Try a new recipe

    It’s a perfect time to make some of those yummy recipes you saved to make later. Try some new recipes with healthy foods that will nourish and fuel your body. Even though we’re in quarantine, we still need to be eating nutritious foods to boost our immune system and maintain a consistent eating schedule.

  5. Get Outdoors

    Going outside and getting some Vitamin D makes a world of difference! Enjoy some sunshine by taking a walk or going for a run- while maintaining social distancing of course!

  6. Unplug and Relax

    Do a face mask, turn off the news for an hour, and pour a glass of wine. It’s important to take care of our mental health during this time as well and unplug.

  7. Clean Your House and Declutter

    This is a perfect time to reorganize your makeup, closet, and pantry. Get rid of items in your closet that you don’t use anymore or save to donate! Take a look at the items in your pantry or medicine cabinet and toss any expired items.

  8. Write Down Things You are Grateful For

    Think of some things you are thankful for during this time- big or small. Jot down some things that you once took for granted. Recognize the hardships of others and treat others more kindly. A lot is uncertain and out of our control, but we can control our minds while choosing to practice gratitude and love others.

  9. Make a Daily Schedule

    Keeping a normal schedule even while being home helps you be more productive. Get up as soon as your alarm goes off, make your bed, and wash your face. Write down 3 things you want to accomplish during the day. Do one thing that you’ve been putting off.

  10. Create a Moodboard

    Translate your mood into visuals. Compile some pictures from magazines, Pinterest, Instagram, or your own photos of things that inspire you.

  11. Learn a new Makeup Technique or Hair Style

    I’ve been watching some makeup videos and learning new eyeshadow techniques. You can use this extra time to experiment with a new look to rock when you get out of quarantine.One of my favorite makeup tutorials this week from Youtube is here.

  12. Watch a new Netflix series

    Make it comfy-grab a cozy blanket and some popcorn! Try not to multitask and really enjoy it. Some of my favorite shows on Netflix are New Girl, All American, Schitt’s Creek, and You.
